I started Software Management Solutions in 1996 because I
recognized the need for software metrics consulting services
and within a few years had branched out the services to include
training, staffing, and network solutions. Today, we continue
to expand our service offerings to support the needs of our
clients and the industry. We are uniquely positioned to provide
fully integrated solutions regardless of the environment your
company has. We pride ourselves on being able to add value

M. George Mitwasi, Ph.D., MBA., CFPS, PMP
George Mitwasi has over sixteen years of experience in
software development as a function point and measurements
specialist, a project manager, a quality engineer, and a
business analyst. George holds a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering,
an MBA from the Wharton School, and is both a certified
function point specialist and a certified project management
professional.
George has provided extensive consultation in setting-up
function point and software metrics programs in client
organizations. In addition, George did considerable work in
software estimation, software process improvement, and project
management. George is active in the function point community.
He was a member of and chaired the International Function
Point Users Group conference for three consecutive years and
served as a member of the IT Performance Committee. George
also founded, and currently directs, a one-day conference,
Software Process Symposium (www.spsymposium.com) which is
going into its fourth successful year in 2006.
George developed and taught several courses on function points
including the Certified Function Point Analyst Exam
Preparation Course, which George teaches at the IFPUG
conferences. George presented several well received talks at
renowned international conferences.
