Woodbridge,
NJ, August 18, 2004 - Software
Management Solutions, Inc. (SMS), a recognized leader in
providing specialized IT consulting services to fortune 500
companies, today announced they will co-host the 2nd annual New
Jersey Software Process Improvement (SPI) Symposium on Monday,
October 4, 2004 at the Pines Manor in Edison, NJ.
SMS will be co-hosting the event with the North Jersey
Software Process Improvement Network (NJ-SPIN) - the most active
SPIN in the country.
Calling
it the "best value for the money" and an
"outstanding" conference, last year's attendees raved
about the event. Building
on the success of last year's symposium, this full day
conference will offer SPI professionals an excellent opportunity
to share and learn with their peers as they enjoy a day of
engaging and informative presentations from experts in software
process improvement.
The
symposium will kick off with a dynamic Keynote presentation on
getting your organization transitioned to CMMI by Mike Harris, a
Senior Vice President at Fidelity Information Services.
There will be a second Keynote presentation after lunch
on CMMI adoption and the Software Engineering Institute's (SEI)
future plans for CMMI by Mike Konrad, author and CMMI Manager at
SEI.
The
symposium will offer three different presentation tracks to fit
multiple SPI interests. Attendees will choose from 18 different presentations given
by field experts with practical advice for both beginners and
more advanced SPI professionals.
"We
are very excited to be co-hosting this event again," said
George Mitwasi, President of SMS, "Process improvement
continues to be a hot topic and we are proud to be able to help
facilitate this learning and networking event for SPI
professionals."
Seats
are limited for this exciting industry event and with the
networking opportunities available, they are sure to fill up
